My wife says I can't do it this year. 😢
The first #AdventOfCode 2025 puzzle comes out in about five hours! What's your plan? What language(s?!) are you using? What's your IDE of choice and why is it Vim? Do you have a comfy chair? Did you check out the beta release of Lua 5.5? How much sleep have you gotten? Drinking enough water? 🌟 ❤️ 🎄

@beccafarsace.bsky.social do you ever shoot on film? I’m looking for a decent film camera for my wife. Got any pointers? Thanks

How embarrassing, recommended for me is Windows 11 for seniors and Windows 11 for Seniors in Large Print. :( What did I do to hurt you Amazon?

Looking for advice from the masses. There's a position open in my company that I just saw on LinkedIn. It would be a single step up for me. Should I let the recruiters and hiring manager know that I'm interested in it?

Tome Town v1.1 is live!
Your feedback after v1.0 shaped this entire update:
- Smart search across your library

Building an iOS app as a learning project has been incredible.
Thank you for being part of this journey!

I feel stupid announcing this, but I think it has more of an effect if I do: I cancelled Disney, Hulu, and ESPN+. And I plan to shoplift Andor season 2 when it comes to Blu-ray.

14 years ago I went to the first //build/ conference. It was great and wonderful and I actually talked to people in the hotel and at the conference. The sessions were up my alley and I learned a lot. Miss those days...

What's with companies that make hand over fist money and they lay off a ton of employees. We need a worker's bill of rights here.

What?!? This is messed up. Found guilty but doesn't have to atone for the crime? This reality sucks.
Google won’t be forced to sell its Chrome browser and can keep paying companies to keep its search engine as the default on smartphones, thanks to a federal ruling.

In other words? Google gets to remain a monopoly and keep its harmful, anti-competitive practices.

Shameful.

Quick question for PDF/EPUB readers: what's the ONE thing that drives you crazy about existing reading apps?

Building Tome Town taught me that sometimes the biggest problems are the simplest ones.

Your answers might become v1.1 features!

Such a loss. Time Capsule was a great product. I got one on @snazzylabs.com recommendation and haven't regretted it. Time to make room on my NAS for Mac backups.

To everyone who's downloaded Tome Town this week - thank you for supporting an indie developer learning iOS! Your feedback is literally shaping what I build next. What's the most frustrating thing about your current PDF reading setup?

Health insurance is a scam. $375 for a chest X-ray and insurance covers a whopping $56.25 of it.

Here's a valuable prompt starting point for any business idea you may have, "please conduct a 'pre-mortem'." Find out how it can fail and use that to determine if it's worth going down the rabbit hole. What do you think?
