From the 9th grade: random yelling it is a weird dogwhistle: the kids who hate it shrink quietly, and there's a strong leanin temptation for me, prone to snarky rejoinders, except they yell every time, which further tortures the kids who have been hating it since 7th grade. Meaningless & maddening.
