Got lost in both jungles! I don't know why I misread this..yes I have seen Asphalt but not Blackboard lol...talking of noir do you think Gatsby movie is one? Granted no German expressionist shots but there is this idea of entrapment and inevitability.

I think the screenwriters in the olden days were more cleverer with verbal language than our generation..Tarantino comes close...scripts are more poetic whereas ours are more visual
