It’s unfortunate to see this outdated password recommendation perpetuated. Companies please stop doing this.
The NIST guidelines have been updated to ONLY recommend a change of password if there is evidence of a compromise. See point 6 of the linked section below.

I happen to see this thread and flipped to my search tab and it happened. Note that the search was still there from a couple of days ago. It went away when I searched with no input.
