My guess is John Paragon. I've been binging Playhouse since "Pee Wee as Himself" was released and I noticed every damn time there's a dirty joke, he's usually the writer or director of the episode lol

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say the main difference was homophobia. That and Pee-Wee was a children's show character, and a character people either LOVED or HATED with little in-between. What happened to him was so fucked up, that final audio before his death broke my heart 🩶💔🩶
