Yea, daily powders and dry herbs tend to burn fast. I would suggest a warmer like someone else in this thread said. Personally, I end up putting more on the coal now and then. Make it part of a meditative practice.

It's less of a waiting until it's not glowing and more waiting until you have some ash around the edge. That said may I ask what kind of incense you are burning? Many of those charcoal disks actually burn a bit too hot for most incense.

This is true. Im sitting out here with my phone making weird noises and a cat toy sitting in front on me... getting looks *shrug*

All in all I like them. The box they came in is great! Totally worth keeping. For $17 I'm happy with what I got.

The only thing I don't like about these is with how the backs are printed it's easy to tell if a card is reversed. If you have smaller hands you might fumble around with these as the cards are a little thick so the deck can be hard to shuffle. (2/3)

Mugwort is really earthy, but it's great for any kind of meditation, astral travel, or general psychic work. One of those herbs that helps to quiet the mind so we can listen inwardly. Benzoin is a sweet smelling resin that helps with clarity and purifying a space.

I actually make all my own incense (and sell it too over @hermeticapothecary.bsky.social ) But I find it commonly use frankincense, mugwort, and sandalwood a lot. I love benzoin too!
