Had to get headshot for medical school apps today and told the guy I smile mouth closed cause I’m self conscious about my teeth. He said they were fine but when he looked up close he said “oh okay you’re right, I see what you mean, let’s do a mouth closed smile”

As much imposter syndrome as I’m having preparing med school apps and hating all the writing and prep work, it at least reminds me of all the individual things I’ve done and I feel the slightest bit like I actually have done meaningful work and can stand a chance at those crazy difficult schools 😝

While I’m so happy that Cowboy Carter won AOTY with the message of reclaiming history during a time where those in power aim to erase it, the win feels bittersweet in that they only recognized her on album pertaining to Americana. It’s not to discredit this win AT ALL, it is 1000% deserved (1/2)
