Come talk about queer books with me!

A mood. I have friends who have adored SJM but every time I've picked up a book I struggled so I finally was like "Im glad you love her work but its not for me" there are so many more books on my TBR and I dont have time.

Sure. And you have every right to be a skeptic. But let me ask you, what is your skepticism doing to help you plant roots for a better world? You want a better world? Go make it. No one is stopping you from putting your time, money, and energy into your beliefs. In time that will shape something new

Good thing I'm not asking for their permission.

Respectfully I don't owe you an explanation of my identity or why I deserve to hold onto my anger. And you can believe that all you want- its your right. But I'm choosing to put my efforts into dismantling this system and creating a better one. Even if it doesnt happen in my lifetime.

I never said it would be the same. I just said let's not pretend she was gonna save us all. It would be marginally better but not enough to make a difference. People would still be dying in poverty. Police brutality would still continue. She wouldn't have made any changes worth mentioning.

Gotta focus on the vulnerable groups. And also considering I'm part of those "vulnerable groups" I feel like I have every right to say fuck Kamala. Fuck all of them. At this point we gotta move forward and focus on dismantling our entire system.

You literally asked me how abstaining from the vote helped people???? And I'm not critiquing based on lies. Shes pro Israel, pro cop, pro corporation. None of that helps us the people. So there's no point in crying over a lost election. The situation we're in sucks. But like you said we

Im not sure where the misunderstanding here is. Or maybe y'all just can't read? But I never said I didn't vote. But I'm not going to sit here and cry about how much better Kamala would have made us. It wouldnt be this bad but it would still be a shit storm. Also I dont live my life for your approval
June 20, 2025 at 3:58 PM
.... I didn't abstain? No one said that. I voted for Kamala, pretty sure I said that in an earlier comment. Im a firm believer in voting matters. But its not like I fully supported her. I didn't trust her or what she stood for. And I will continue to critique our politicians in our current situation
June 20, 2025 at 3:55 PM
Nah. But she would have kept us complacent. Police brutality would have continued. Labor would still be exploited. AI would still advance. The truth is we need radical change in this country and neither of those leaders were about to meet the needs of the people.
June 19, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Ohhh yeah I forgot any critique on any politician, or better yet the entire system, is unallowed here. My bad. 🙄

Clearly reading comprehension isnt in your skillset.

They're not wrong though. I voted for her because she was arguably the better corruption but Gazans would still be suffering if she were in charge. Police brutality would have continued under her charge. Let's not pretend that her winning the election would have made a marginal difference.

Libraries are one of the coolest places to exist.

Slightly different vibes but obviously I gotta recommend The Burning Kingdom Trilogy
