Learned something new, sweet limes. Milder taste than limes, almost like an orange, but more like a blood orange. I think the vendor called them Palestinian limes or something. Gonna try this in a fish or chicken dish.

Working on my chicken trussing game…needs improvement, skin could be more golden-brown, not enough thyme & garlic, maybe a little over cooked in the wings & legs, but getting better.

Anyway, driving down the 101 and stopped by Quail & Condor, James Beard nomination finalist & one of NYT’s best bakeries in the US, to check out their goods. Picked up a Rosemary Lingonberry Creme Brûlée Danish, fancy morning bun, regular croissant, & Dandelion Chocolate mocha.

Seemingly apropos for the bloviating, bootlicking, “both sides”-isms. One party is in control, one party could stop this tonight, but one party chooses not to. And that party isn’t the Democrats, Dave.

Good thing about living in NorCal, wineries & eclectic cafes are in driving distance. Trying a lobster corn dog with caviar (smooshed because I was hungry & rushed to take out of box) & waygu beef skewers. And a dark chocolate cookie…whoops. Devoured that quick.

In other news, I didn’t look at the Chicken Chili recipe closely and added 5 lbs (80 oz) of chicken breasts instead of 2 lbs (32 oz). Soooo, I have Chicken Chili Soup. At least it’s meal prep for the week. 🤦♂️

Volunteered for a Coastal Clean up Day by Salmon Creek. Surprised that the organizers wanted to count and sort for historical tracking, but it makes sense.

Just goes to show, you can be a scrappy, local favorite, but if the owners are massholes & make poor decisions, everyone is screwed.

Trying to think of what I can cook up with peaches and nectarines, which I learned are also called stone fruit, because the pit is like a stone 🤷♂️ Struggling since I don’t usually cook something with peaches or nectarines.
