It really sucked because I covered her oldest kid with my body and covered his head with my palms and at the end, we were all on a bus. I kept looking at him to make sure he was okay and he physically, he was. Mentally, he was scarred. He had so much fear in his little eyes. He’s not in school yet.
I had a dream I protected my cousin (who isn’t talking to me because I don’t like her support of harmful ideologies and greed) and her family from a gunman. All were safe but my mind was shaken dealing with the psychological implications. That’s how it’s going for me.
