Also from my experience of working in a bar that had a licence extended from 2am to 4am, all it does for late night drinkers is keep them at home pre-drinking for longer, which is unsafe as fuck for everyone else as they’re either more pissed or more drugged up when they do come out.

A terrible idea, stretching the same amount of a pub/bar’s trade over more hours to take in only a little more revenue, would kill far more places than it would save.

If they really wanted to save the hospitality sector, they’d pass laws stopping brewery pub landlord being greedy twats.
