Not sure appearing in the "Huff 'n' Puff Post" is actually treating him as worthwhile, but I get the drift.

Oh my, that's the new CBS, then?

Why does the Washington Post report this as a "major setback to President Trump", while not pointing out that the charge is completely bogus?

There's an old New England joke about someone asking for directions which ends with the observation "come to think of it, you can't get there from here."

Seems unlikelily, but apparently there are several such words ending in 'lily':

One life form per galaxy would mean over 200 billion life forms in the universe, and still the closest one would be in the Andromeda galaxy over 2 million light years away.

There are just some things about RFKJr that no one wants to know more about.

“An important learning,” or as we called it in the olden days, “a lesson.”

You might have thought that experience with autocorrect would have tempered enthusiasm for AI somewhat. Autocorrect makes lots of useful corrections. It also intrudes with inane unwanted corrections that distract and slow you down. AI will have both of those characteristics, on a much bigger scale.

Gemini Cricket! I'm glad they have chosen cutting edge generative AI, those dull edge ones are a dime a dozen. They are gonna solve all our problems and put themselves out of business! Of course they have to use AI to build their AI web page, how else could they do it?

In terms of actual comprehension of what it is doing, ChatGPT is roughly equivalent to a newborn.

The NYT is fooling themselves if they are pretending that there is any way Trump's tariffs could work. Their job is to just state the plain simple truth that the tariff plan is nonsense. That is the dereliction of duty by the NYT that we all complain about.

For shingles, my impression was that the side effect was like getting a limited case of shingles. I would have looked into it like that if I had some side effect, but fortunately I had none. There does not seem to be a central place to look up how to manage side effects.

The variability in response to a vaccine makes it quite hard to discuss it. Some people have a dreadful time, while others barely notice it at all. I don't think I ever hear about it being better to get the disease than to get the vaccine, though.

Just keep making the planes late and the TSA lines long so everyone has to run to catch their flights.

My rule is 1 cup of coffee, then as many cups of tea as I want. This usually ends up as 1 cup of coffee and no tea, as intended.

It's a big business here in Oregon. This state supplies one third of all the Christmas trees sold nation wide. Over $100 million a year in sales.

Kinda judgmental there, Mr. Newsom.

Maybe a combination ballroom-mausoleum so we can dance on his grave.

(This sort of subject matter invites me to comment without having read or seen any of it and with no intention of ever doing so.)
My comment, then, is what are "evolution" and "breed" doing in a sentence with "asexual" and "asocial"? Has someone forgotten how biology works?

Ooh, reduce my taxes by $5,000. That'll fix everything.

Baby steps for the NYT. It is still up to us to point out who is Mr. Garbage here.
December 3, 2025 at 7:05 AM
Those of us disappointed that the once-good NYT is kinda sucky now are not looking for a lame explanation. Do better. Call a spade a spade. Be a newspaper again. Get a spine. Be proud again.
