Only one that comes to mind is a piece with him and Arioch that looks to be airbrush art, with vivid colors not too dissimilar than the WH pic, and he's standing in front of anatomy but it's not an eye. Style has none of Amano's grace, though.

Most of the quotes on here refer to "comics" the way we use the term in FR but with no self awareness about it & this ties to my hot take of: a lot of ppl would benefit from reading stuff not made by large publishers to sell toys or directly inspired by comics made by large publishers to sell toys

i write everything i have. something done partially and/or badly is better than something not done. stickmen thumbnailng, placeholder names, big holes when i can't find an idea for a scene. once you get into the project those holes will bridge themselves

spirou is an interesting example because each team behind it was known for a specific era and more or less allowed to do whatever stylewise. franquin vs janry vs bravo etc etc all different styles with some sauce to them. i can't tell most us comics art apart, it all looks the same to me

i feel very excluded in this, i love the ancient world and art inspired by/based on it and the lack of people caring about anything else than the military makes finding ressources on those things extremely rare.
