I feel like if you’re going to make a reimagining of Murnau’s classic Nosferatu, this is how you do it. This is Robert Eggers at his most playful & fun. Sure, it’s a gothic horror but it’s also infused w/ so much whimsy I smiled a couple of times.

The Order is an unfortunately timely film. Justin Kurzel cuts down the middle w/ insane precision. Laying bare what used to lurk in the shadows of American “democracy.” I feel like Kurzel has been following this through line across his work. White, male rage and violence.
