Apparently, Turning Point's Blexit, that is their chapter of sunken place negroes, has plans to tour HBCUs this month. They are going to FAMU next Friday, Oct. 17. My prayer is that the students and administration will do as we always do, strike, strike, and strike again.

Lord, my samba instructor just posted the video of me failing greatly at dancing to an enredo on Saturday. I don’t even have the heart to watch it. (Turns out light and goes to sleep) 😭

It’s not that we’ve never samba’d at 155MPH but it’s totally different to just follow the batería. You really must be lead by the drums and feel it and keep moving. I pushed through the finish a semblance of the choreography but sheesh. I am still shook.

Samba has been going better in past weeks but yesterday the teacher challenged us. She turned on an enredo and had each of us dance by ourselves. When I say I nearly had a meltdown! All the choreo I’d learned in the previous hour left my mind and body and the 155MPH shocked me

Years ago I posited that on TikTok and I think that’s major. She represents the ideal white womanhood and femininity which is tied to whiteness. Whiteness never needs to grow up or develop it just needs to maintain control and power of an idea of the ideal

Love is Blind North America need to get on Brazil’s level and start having people decline to follow through on the proposal once they see the person face to face. LIB Brazil, the people would be like “You know what, nah,” which really just proves love is not blind 😂

I am about to stop accepting invitations to speak at historically and predominantly white organizations. I've been tired of being an only in those spaces sometimes but also tired of the times they don't pay on time, it's gross and unprofessional.
