We were back in the UK last weekend, and in our local town, Barnstaple in Devon, I could have fired a shotgun down the high street on Saturday afternoon and not hit anyone. It was very bleak.

Very sorry for your loss. The most difficult part of having such wonderful animals is knowing that they have such a short time with us.

When my daughter went to uni, she told us in no uncertain terms that we mustn't call her unless someone had died and that she would call us regularly ( I know that once a year is regular).
In reality, she called around once every 2-3 weeks, and all was fine.
Fortunately, I never had to ring her 😆
