Rays of light shot out from these newly formed galaxies. It was then that the Being could finally see it was not alone. Like the groups of light rays coming from the stars, it found other rays of light that flew steadily beside it, in front of it, and even behind it.

This is a hedgehog spider found in South Africa. They secret pheromones and attract male moths before grabbing them out of the air and eating them. During the day they sleep on leaves motionless like this.

What it did notice at first was the obvious, that it was hurting through space. Without any memory of how or why, it found itself jettisoned into the newly born cosmos. Much like an infant, it found itself overwhelmed with all the new forms of stimuli it was taking in.

The light between them glowed a faint and unnatural blue. This new creature looked at thr world it found itself in and tried to make sense of the seemingly infinite space that stretched before it in all directions. In the Beginning, it knew not what it was or where it had come from.

The heat was comforting and addicting. As they spiraled faster and faster , they could suddenly all feel the same things. They could feel the Beginning of each other's thoughts, and that is when it's life began: The Being was born. As those thoughts began to sync up, they became a mind.

Out of this darkness and with the faintest hint of a spark, a being was born among this light. Out of shear chance, three rays of light found themselves playing, dancing, and swirling around one another, sharing their heat greedily with each other instead of the universe around them.

Spiders do crazy things! Here is a bolas spider, Cladomelea akermani, from South Africa. It's web is just 2 droplets on the end of a string. It spins it to snag moths out of the air.
