Thank you!

"...then we'd never have the Twilight movies."

Well, damn! You can't find a more perfectly compelling reason for book bans.

Mind you, Pelosi always got what she needed no matter whom she bargained with. It's not her fault that Jeffries et al. can't handle the fascist insurrectionists.

No, the biggest problem in the Dem party is all the self-bashing afflicted by Dem members and Dem allies. This not only undercuts any substantial progress the party has made, but it also undermines any party-wide cooperation needed to succeed in today's political game.

Eh, Sanders can talk big, but that's all he does. Free healthcare, tax the rich, etc. He just repeats the same popular policies, but unable to realize them in legislation. He's not a bad senator, but he's not that good either. He's an overhyped populist who lacks real conviction to get things done.

Stop saying the "Senate Democrats" as though they all are responsible for messing up. Only eight senators voted yes, so put the focus on them. By grouping them all as a single entity undermines what positive gains the rest of the senators are trying to achieve.

And if anyone needs to go to bed, that person is probably you. Your old cranky self needs to get off the keyboard and into bed for some much needed sleep.
November 11, 2025 at 6:53 AM
Whatever, "bro."

You must be really old if you didn't get the meme reference. Still, in any case, your decision to use insults betrays your weak mental constitution or personal insecurities. Your comments are irrevelant to the thread here. Now, it's derailed because you can't simply accept that.
November 11, 2025 at 6:53 AM
You wrong here, and you were also wrong about SNAP benefits being connected to the shutdown deal. Have the last word if you will, but it will only prove that your ego can't handle being wrong.
November 11, 2025 at 6:46 AM
You must have the mindset of MAGA to be this willfully ignorant. You can try to deny it all you want on his thread, but you know deep in your stupid-ass head that you were proven wrong, that you misspoke, and I am the one who called your ass on it.
November 11, 2025 at 6:46 AM
... Trump Administration would pursue an obviously illegal course of action and assume that the SCOTUS will have their backs.

Again, you are wrong. You know it's true. You can't deny it. Everything I've said is true. I've countered every falsehood you have made. And yet, you still persist.
November 11, 2025 at 6:46 AM
... Trump administration reconsider appealing to the SCOTUS. Because, really, only a bonehead stupid-ass fool, such as yourself, would try to force a clearly illegal and unpopular hold on SNAP funding. But then again, here you are arguing like a damn idiot, so it is likely the idiots in the...
November 11, 2025 at 6:46 AM
... the case linger in the SCOTUS docket.
Now, will the case eventually make it to the SCOTUS? Right now, that is still speculation. Justice Jackson bought time for the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to make a ruling, hopefully enough time that political headwinds would change and have the...
November 11, 2025 at 6:46 AM
"All Jackson accomplished was to force SCOTUS to respond quickly instead of dragging it out for months."

Again, you are wrong. Justice Jackson ruled on the stay so that the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals (and not the SCOTUS) can respond quickly to the lower court ruling INSTEAD of having...
November 11, 2025 at 6:46 AM
2. Justice Jackson made a stay on the lower court ruling and returned the case BACK to the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals so they can respond quickly. The case NEVER made it before the SCOTUS!
November 11, 2025 at 6:46 AM
"what happens once the 1st CC rules (which they did). Answer: Trump appeals to SCOTUS (which he just did)."
The premise of your statement is again WRONG.

1. The 1st CC of Appeals DECLINED to make a ruling, which prompted Trump to appeal to the SCOTUS, BUT...
November 11, 2025 at 6:46 AM
Cool story, bro.

So start your own damn thread rather than trying to hijack another to which your comments are totally irrelevant.
November 11, 2025 at 5:32 AM
So again, you are wrong.
Wrong
Wrong

Wrong. Wrong.

Again, get your facts straight before getting snarky. You only make yourself look more like a dumb ass.

And for the record, the SNAPS benefits case had nothing to do with the shotdown. Even you can't deny that you were WRONG about that.
November 11, 2025 at 5:30 AM
Idiot.

Trump tried to appeal to the SCOTUS, but Justice Jackson, who oversees emergency appeals for states, got the case and made a stay on the lower court ruling BEFORE the case would even reach the SCOTUS proper. The case is back with the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, where it currently is.
November 11, 2025 at 5:30 AM
Sanders is just as effective as those folding Dems, namely, not so much.

Schumer is either a weak leader, or not respected as one, or both. I still wouldn't blame the Democrats as a whole; this is looking like another Sinema/Manchin scenario.

Of course, the GOP should be the focus of our umbrage.
