I feel this way about dnd 4e, people hated it for a myriad of reasons but my friend group had a blast and it's one of the few campaigns we've ever finished so I will always remember it fondly

I get so excited anytime I find new Bible codes or Anunnakian magicks and it's poisoned almost immediately by the same tired bigotry. You can't even invite some new aliens or demons that aren't Jewish-coded?! COME ON

Most helpful youtube videos I've ever had were done by people 40+ with a shaky, slightly dirty camera and under 3 minutes long.

I liked it specifically because I had something new to do each turn when I exhausted each action and it wasn't just "roll maybe 2 d20s each turn and hope for the best"

I actually have been forced not to chase the trend because 1: my friend group that does this don't even get a full month out of the game, 2: games they play are too expensive, 3: computer is too old to run anything that's come out in the past 2 years and can't afford upgrades atm
