I have tasted the flavor of denial and it’s undertones of religiosity as I have gently probed family members for cracks. Again and again I am left to wonder, is the right thing to do not still the right thing to do, even when doomed to fail.

I have been thinking about climate change recently, tracing that decades long line of climate denial that held first that the climate was not changing, and later that of course it is changing, but not due to fossil fuels.
