Like, imagine instead of the Evil Dragon becoming Mini Durin, they just had to end him. Wouldn't they have been sad for him then?
I know it's different for Big Durin because he posed "real" danger but the devs could have thrown the lore readers a bone 😔

I really think there should have been a moment where they sympathise with his tragic existence. It would have fit perfectly during the time Albedo was removing the heart core. Just to give him a respectful end.
