watching taskmaster on my laptop while sitting in front of the TV instead of on the TV because brian's not here so the TV is "too big" (?)
spindlypete.bsky.social
oh that one hadn't occurred to me! maybe so maybe so

insurance should cover fixing things just because they make us self conscious! i've said it before and i'll say it again!

coming up with some strategies to hide the one gross varicose vein that spoils my otherwise perfectly good right leg. what looks less weird, do you think, a little decorative scarf tied just under the knee, or carrying an end table around with me everywhere and just casually flinging a leg up
spindlypete.bsky.social
it doesn't fucking SEEM allowed but it's very hard to find the PPB canine use of force regulations online!
spindlypete.bsky.social
lmao they'd think they were playing fetch and return just-rescued near-drownings to the sea over and over
spindlypete.bsky.social
you never see a police newfoundland. all they'll do is pull your silly drowning ass out of yaquina bay

just because like it's already reported in KATU, verbatim, it's on video, it seems pretty unassailable and cut-and-dried to me. munitions they can always quibble about oh extenuating circumstances blah blah. but if we have a ban on dog attacks we have a ban on dog attacks simple as

i see pics of people down there, it looks like they just cleaned up all the stuff that was laying around but i could be wrong

if i were a local journalist i'd ask the mayor at a press conference if using a police dog as a weapon is a violation of PPB regulations and if so, what is the protocol for enforcing those regulations when ICE breaks them, and if we don't have one, how do we make one
spindlypete.bsky.social
honestly fuck them dogs but i guess if they want to go live apologetically on a farm that's fine. plenty of people out there itching to happily hang out with terrible dogs
spindlypete.bsky.social
like if for instance the mayor was looking for some examples of pretty blatant violations of PPB regulations he could use as justification before whatever board is relevant for assuming then vacating the lease of the macadam facility FOR INSTANCE
spindlypete.bsky.social
i know if an officer with PPB did that the court wouldn't give a shit BUT MIGHT THE MAYOR GIVE A SHIT IF HE WAS ALREADY LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO GIVE A SHIT ABOUT
spindlypete.bsky.social
the mayor just repeated his constant refrain that ICE agents in portland need to abide by PPB standards, such as wearing body cameras, limits on munitions, etc. could "using a dog as a threat" be a violation of PPB standards?
spindlypete.bsky.social
it seems like an important distinction to me!
spindlypete.bsky.social
well idk about everybody else but i think it's bad that they do that
spindlypete.bsky.social
don't give me sassy "the cops do whatever they want" answers, i obviously know that, i'm asking if ON PAPER they're allowed to do that in portland
spindlypete.bsky.social
are they allowed to do that in portland?
spindlypete.bsky.social
like i know police dogs attack people constantly but i didn't think the cops acknowledged that the dog was just a weapon they could use to brutalize someone for misbehaving
