Ruling out Left Party does seem a little out of order but as the whole thing is a flaming clown car I‘m not going to lose much sleep over it.

You selected Your Party, referring to My Party. The correct answer was Your Party.

I guess you could say that musical is living in your head… Rent free.

Surely any councillor who wanted to be re-elected would vote against?

Grim reality*

A friend tells me those who carried out the investigation, a story supposed to be about the grim of living in a hotel, included the taxi detail as an aside and were surprised to see the eventual story framed around it.

This feels like it informed a lot in your life.

“These guys are boring nerds.”
“Oh, OK.”
“So obviously you’ll want to know about their petty feuds and not the things that affect you.”

Players clearly distracted by their absolute stallion of a manager, can’t blame ’em.

bsky.app/profile/spin... Hey buddy, quit stealing my bit.
Not to beat a dead horse but this does feel very Twitter-brained. You know, “retvrn”, strong men bring good times, Christ was renowned for his profound hatred of charity - all of that.

Finally, the day that justifies me having taken this photo and kept it on my phone has come! Next to the urinals in an Osaka department store:

I was definitely expecting this anecdote to go more in this direction:

Yeah, she’s almost certainly right that a lot of people unfairly dismissed and underestimated her - just not, e.g., the person who said “I wouldn’t pursue a career in that area, your grades in the adjacent subjects aren’t very good.”

Obviously, as we all know, the Labour Party is pursuing growth above all else and so every Tuesday has all the businesses and all the immigrants gather round to receive their latest helping of growth-helping taxes and regulations.
November 28, 2025 at 8:52 AM
Yeah, I mean, the problem is we’ve not had a government (or indeed an opposition) willing to say, “You can have these things but it precludes having those things, so our aim is just to pursue the one set of things.”
November 28, 2025 at 8:51 AM
Yeah, immediately where my mind went. If memory serves, inheritance tax only affects ~4% of estates. I expect many more people think/hope they’d meet the threshold than ever would, in both cases.

Until you have your foot up on the counter and you wonder if your own bones will give way first, yeah.

My wife’s elderly uncle did nearly trip over the fuel line last year, and I had to intercept one small child making a dash for the boiling oil. Nobody was harmed.
November 27, 2025 at 9:42 PM
The key is, as above, making sure the bird fits and making sure you have just the right amount of oil.

A viable alternative is spatchcocking, though you become intimately aware of quite how thick a turkey’s collarbone is.

The peerage would be substantially less than the property, wouldn’t it?
November 27, 2025 at 9:02 PM
It is? This whole time I thought we were doing a bit.
