For me, money obeys the laws of the speed of light; I run toward it, and it runs away from me at exactly the same speed. Occasional film-maker. Happily married to my film-making partner, the lovely Tanya.

Is it just me who thinks these clouds resemble the British Isles?

After 250 years of the Republic, a stoic minority of Americans continue to appreciate the true meaning of the liberty their forebears secured. For the rest it is merely the freedom to be greedy, ignorant, prejudiced, mean-spirited, and infantile. That's what Trump's Republicans have shown the world.

Freedom of speech is confined to the dissemination of facts. It can be suppressed by law and the imprisonment of those who speak the truth, but also by the saturation of the media with falsehoods. A channel of communication can be monopolised to induce mass irrationality. Read Washington's warning:

Three years ago our landlord tried to increase our rent by over 50 percent. The next year by 36 percent. Have you been affected in a similar way as rents in Britain spiral upwards? If so, please message as I need five UK supporters for a government petition for rent control.

Historians have thrown Jefferson under the bus over the last 25 years. Now 250 years has passed should he be left twisting in the wind? Can his contributions to American democracy and its republic be ignored? His omissions are problematic, but can this New Year be a time to focus on the idealism? 🙏

Since 1975, $79 trillion in wealth has been redistributed from the bottom 90% to the top 1% — a 1% that now owns more wealth than the bottom 93%.

We can respect innovation & entrepreneurship, but we cannot respect the extraordinary greed that now exists.

We need a wealth tax.

Amid all that sucks about MAGA and Trump Republicans, what's the sin that's hardest to forgive? America ain't cool anymore. Jim Morrison must be tuning in his grave at 45 rpm. Hunter S Thompson's rate of rotation would destroy any tachometer or defy any effort at measurement. Imagine his reactions.

We were warned - de Tocqueville died in 1859. He'd have had a conniption fit if he'd foreseen the likes of Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg, Page, and Brin conspiring against the masses.

When he was with those kids at an EO signing I was reminded of when Saddam Hussein used those hostage kids as human shields on Iraqi state TV.

There is a sublime irony in having a machine verify your identity. Robots are deciding whether or not we are human. In other words, inhuman agents get to arbitrate what constitutes a real person. We are submitting to the automation of injustice. Every corporation should have human customer service.

Well, it happened again; Facebook suspended my account. It has lead me to this platform. I've added Nader, Stone, Gibney, and Sanders to a list, and I'm already feeling better about my world view. If you have hints about enhancing my echo chamber experience, please comment... comment... comment...
