If you relatively recently started studying politics and think you have discovered a simple trick to generate a perpetual majority party and then win elections forever, and a large portion of the world is just too stupid to see it, I would ask you to consider that you might be overconfident.

Having a robust social safety net is not the same as socialism as an economic system. A democratic socialist is more akin to a social democrat in Europe.

That's easy for you to say. There are many federal employees who live paycheck to paycheck and are facing financial disaster if they don't get paid soon.
