Examples of winged Equili. Ai is your standard example. Mira has a mutation called “webbed”. She doesn’t fly as well as an Equelis like Ai but she makes up for it in speed. Webbed Equili like Mira are not only featherless, having membranous wings instead, they’re also hairless

The two main Equili characters of my story. Leif and Cobalt. While both are in the horned subspecies, Leif in particular has two mutations: branched and variegated. He also has some winged DNA in his ancestry so he has sparce feathering along his shoulders and hips. His front paws are also smaller.

Empress Taima had good relations with the Plumerant despite her husbands’ hostility. Not long after the Breach of the Wall she was seen sitting with Captain Arrow, listening to his mad ramblings. A few days later she vanished. No one ever saw her again.

Although high tensions and discrimination existed between Plumerant and Equili before the genocide it was this moment that drove Emperor Phenex to commit that act against them 2000 years ago.
