Are you searching for people, places, events? Scotland censuses to 1841, with names of residents and other info, are available at no cost online. Ancestry has good collections. This site was useful to me: www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/search-records. I could recommend others if I knew your interests.

I’ve been successful with Scottish censuses, other records, and Quaker records in the US, but have not sought out Quaker records in Scotland. What in particular are you looking for?
