Some of this feminine/masculine energy stuff sounds a whole lot like fundamentalist religious complimentarian theology. Just repackaged for people who like crystals and meditation over Bible devotionals and prayer groups.

Lots of ink has been spilled regarding how millennial evangelicals were impacted by purity culture stuff from the 90s/2000s. I agree that it often sexualized us more than “the world” ever did. There also seemed to be a widespread issue of youth pastors getting with girls as soon as they turned 18.

2000’s Evangelical purity culture combined with mother-son enmeshment dynamics. That is a brutal combination. The picture makes me smile.

I think the French left is smarter than the American left in this way. French leftists who despise Macron will go into the voting booth and vote for Macron to block the far right from power. It is a mindset they seem to understand more than Jill Stein voters or Cornell West voters last fall.
