First brick kit assembled in the new flat!
Starting a new Lumibricks series: “Road Trip” which is basically nostalgic Americana/Route 66 inspired.
This is the one of the smallest kits of the series but the motel- which I’ve yet to buy- got rave reviews.

Did a whistle-stop tour of some local sights today- Balloch Castle (actually Victorian) Park on Loch Lomond and the governor’s house at Dumbarton Castle (actually mostly Georgian).

Our TV room has exactly the same layout and furniture as in our last flat, but suddenly Morrigan has decided that she lives on this chair.

Although tbh only the central part was grand inside, but I found the all-tile wings (which we assume were the factory floor) to be equally fascinating.

If you guessed the fanciest car factory you’ve ever seen in your life, congrats!
It ran for like eight years before WWI hit and they switched to torpedoes and then gradually sank into decay. Such a grand building and so disappointingly neglected.

Also our TV room is near-identical to the old one in both size and shape… the only difference is a higher ceiling and this convenient cat storage shelf under the window.

Our new flat is east-west but thanks to protruding bay windows on each side Darwin can lay in the sun all day long 😊

This is just ONE of the four rooms we improved, for example. Turned a dusty storage room with moldy wallpaper into a functional space (they changed the window, we did/paid for the rest).
