in actuality I'd say just how well it flows and the feeling of the moves themselves. Uniqueness can also be really baller, like with UNI 2 and characters having really distinct combo pieces

tl;dr because I rambled. I love this game and I don't blame you for feeling this way about it, it's very valid and pacing is absolutely one of the games main weaknesses

that being said. the ending section of the game far and away redeems it for me and the plot with the actual main cast is fantastic. so it struggles a lot in some fields but the things it nails it does a beautiful job with

But on the other hand the dream sections feel like chores and the later sections (humphrey) legitimately feel kinda bad when you've played through so much "Alright I guess this is happening" content just because at some point you're ready to be finished y'know?

idk, fluff going on in the dream sections that can be a pain. it's thematically relevant, in the sense that fantasies used to not have to confront the reality around you are going to be paper thin and barely functional and characters will come and go
