I was helping run a cycle event for TfL and came to the same stall as Boris Johnson for food at the end. We both went for the same piece of melon. As a coordinator (and hungry participant) in the event, I held back. The grunty pig just went for it, cleared several plates and waddled off

When I did it, there were rescue helicopters hovering over the trajet. I heard later (anecdotally) a cyclist and a bus had gone over the side earlier that day. Even ignorant of the reason at the time, I did have to do a lot of "NOT listening" to be able to carry on drudging up that slope.😐

That is such a beautiful and calm place to cycle, for people of every level. Apart from La Calobra -that was ridiculous. Cycling down, I thought "why is everyone thinking this is a difficult ride?" At the bottom someone told me "You have only one way to get back up".

Yes and all the road signs are written in teeny tiny script that you can barely see, often missing/spun round by "pranksters". Some roads will lead you through or along the perimeter of muddy fields. Many will have scratchy brambles and tree branches to destroy your paintwork and etc.
