Oh no, they're much too young! Now if you were showing seats from Whitleys and Wellingtons our household might have a chance 😂

The reality on the ground is that the capacity issue isn't on the London to Birmingham stretch... And the design process is massively flawed. Just on our very local bit, streams were rerouted up hill and the noise model is completely wrong for a high speed train, so costs will only get higher.

I'm one of those people whom you so politely say should leave. I see the unbelievable overspend locally on HS2 every day. The money could have been so much better spent on useful infrastructure across the country rather than this specific route that's already well served..

I'm surprised it's that much - to be honest. We spent the day at Ingram's printing plant earlier in the month and they said the average number of books they print in an order is between two and three.

One of my grandmother's friends used to be a wing walker. I was too young to understand the implications at the time so sadly I never spoke to her about it. She was just Ruby, the little old lady who played Scrabble with Grandma every week

I pay a few pounds a year to have my own domain and then use eM Client (free). I also have Outlook and Gmail accounts that I view using BlueMail, all in one place. When I think about it, I use Thunderbird (free) too. I may have too many email accounts!

This week I took some beautiful notelets to a wake, celebrating the life of our local legend Cyril Hobbins. They were created from pictures he'd painted in the summer, after learning a new technique in his nursing home at 87. An amazing inspiration! Sold in and of The Air Ambulance too

Thanks - I had guessed that! Not many Victorian aeroplanes around... ;-)

Thank you for this - I will pass the details on to my husband Mark, who's been involved

In our case it's WWII buildings in the Midlands that are better quality and have more reason to be protected than those already listed elsewhere, but are being rejected. I'm not sure of the exact details but could put you in touch if it might be helpful.

Interesting - we are currently having this problem with local aviation buildings from the first part of the 20th century

Thirded, I moved to this when I lost access to full Adobe. It's an older style interface but does everything well. The free version is good and you can try all the features (with a 'draft' watermark) to see if it works for you before paying. No subs!

Our local Facebook pages are great places to promote local fruit. There are people who have trees and more than they can eat (like us) and lots who don't, so there's always someone to rescue it! And others to provide jam jars for the jam makers et al

With you on that one, he's clearly so young...

I struggled to spell physics in the 80s when I was applying... Less of a problem then though

And just to add - you can try the free version and it will do all the extra bits the paid one does but with a DRAFT watermark on it, so you can try it out properly before investing

Definitely works really well for me - without any AI guff or unnecessary pop-up windows. Bliss!

I've moved to PDF-Xchange Editor when I lost access to Acrobat Pro. It has a much older-looking interface, but seems to have all the features of Acrobat Pro (I work in the magazine world) in a much speedier and subscription-free form!
