Had a great time at the Norwegian Game Awards this friday!

There were lots of great games and nice people. And we even got a nomination for best gameplay design!

And while we didn't win anything, it was an incredible experience, and we learned a lot!

Luckily the previous issue was a really easy fix, just a bool that needed setting!

The dominoes themselves work very well now, still some minor tweaks to be done, but overall in a great state!

Now begins the work of implementing the interesting stuff!

Your code VS the code she tells you not to worry about. 🤔

We could probably make it even simpler, but at one point you have to call it good enough. At least it isn't 3 pages long anymore!

(It's the code responsible for position and rotation of the dominoes when placed)

Baby steps towards working tile placement, still some bugs, and it's made of some of worst code I have written, but I can make something Im proud of when I know I can make it work first! Why do it smart when you can do it stupid? 🫠 #gamedev #indiedev #dominoes #godot

Finally getting somewhere with the code as well! Not working 100% yet as you can see, the tiles don't get rotated, and some more placement logic is still needed. But a lot of the systems behind it works!

Some more playtesting done!
Now with tarot cards, a shop, bosses and some more things we had to test out!
Sitting around a table and playing it physically have really helped figuring out what should be the core of the game

Started work on designing the UI for our game, it's not that fancy, we are still undecided about theme and visual style. So we're gonna start off with something simple and hopefully OK. And I kept the red playing area from our playtesting sessions!
Also, PowerPoint isn't the best app for UI design..

I really recommend making a physical prototype of what you are trying to make (if possible)
