"Clever"? That's not a word I've ever seen associated with Melania. The movie should be seen for what is - not informative (the consensus among viewers is that it doesn't reveal anything more substantial other than that Melania's favorite song is "Billie Jean"), but a bribe paid by Jeff Bezos.

Where are the other fiscal conservative candidates?

Thanks for bringing attention to this issue, which will be worsening when the Big Ugly Bill goes into effect in 2026. Where are the fiscal conservative candidates?

Forcing Republicans to go on record with their opposition to ACA subsidies and restoration of SNAP benefits is nothing?

I've known Tim well before he entered politics, and I've always been impressed by his commitment to do the right thing.

If the Republicans try to weasel out of this vote, the Democrats should refuse to approve the CR when it comes up for a vote again in January.

I wish some Democrats would stop talking about the shutdown as a failure - it brought attention to the importance of the ACA subsidies like no other action would have, and will force Republicans to go on record with their opposition to these subsidies when the subsidies come up in Dec.

Didn't the CBO project an increase in the debt -to GDP ratio?

Please don't neglect the reforms necessary to avoid benefit reductions in 2032! Increasing the taxable income beyond the current limit of $176,100 would be an easy first step.

Keep up the good fight, Tim!

Thanks for your leadership, Tim, on this critical issue. It's been totally ignored by Trump, and unfortunately by many Democrats as well as Republicans. I'm hopeful that Democrats will become recognized as the fiscally responsible alternative to the Republicans.

No. I'm hopeful that the appeal of a Democrat with a message of fiscal conservatism will increase as the threat of a US default inexorably increases.

I'm looking for a Democrat who defines themself as a fiscal conservative with a serious plan to reduce the Federal deficit with spending cuts and revenue enhancement (including support for the IRS).
