While families and communities face devastating cuts to federal programs left and right, in Wisconsin, we’re working to lower costs for working families.

I was glad to visit Partners for Community Development in Brown Deer and highlight our state's work eliminating the sales tax on utility bills.

Think about this: at nearly the same time, Pam Bondi was refusing to answer whether the FBI had images of Trump and young girls obtained from Jeffrey Epstein’s safe, and Mike Johnson was refusing to answer when he would swear in Adelita Grijalva, who would be the 218th vote for the Epstein petition.

Let me be clear: It’s ILLEGAL to deny federal workers back pay after a shutdown.

There’s a 2019 law that guarantees it, but Trump is once again trying to break the law.

You don’t get to punish people for doing their jobs just because you’re failing at yours.

NOTABLE -- Pam Bondi refuses to answer direct questions about if the FBI has incriminating photos of Trump with half-naked young women, but instead deflects from them by attacking Sen. Whitehouse

'Carving my own lane': MTG admits insurance premiums will 'double' if GOP doesn't act
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R‑Ga.) warned Monday that if Republicans in Congress don't act to extend certain Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) tax credits, health insurance premiums are poised to "double" next year. In a post on social media platform X, Greene wrote: “[W]hen the tax credits expire this year my own adult children’s insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE, along with all the ... families and hard‑working people in my district.” She added that no Republican leadership has offered a plan to prevent the soaring costs. "No I’m not towing the party line on this, or playing loyalty games. I’m a Republican and won’t vote for illegals to have any tax payer funded healthcare or benefits," she added. Greene’s statement comes in the midst of ongoing Republican infighting over how to address the looming expiration of ACA premium tax credits. Under current law, these subsidies help lower the monthly cost of health insurance for many Americans. Without congressional intervention, insurers and analysts warn that premiums could rise sharply for many, especially in lower‑income and rural areas. In her post, Greene distanced herself from the original enactment of the ACA, writing: “I was not in Congress when all this Obamacare, ‘Affordable Care Act’ bulls—— started. I got here in 2021.” She sharply criticized the law’s effects, saying it made health insurance “unaffordable” for her family and that she is “not a fan.” She stressed her belief that if the tax credits vanish, insurance costs will “DOUBLE.” Greene also called health and all insurance “a scam,” saying no Republican leaders had engaged with rank‑and‑file members on solutions, and reiterating her staunch opposition to taxpayer‑funded benefits for undocumented immigrants. The Georgia Republican also criticized federal spending abroad, pointing to $30 billion sent to Israel in 2024 and large sums to Ukraine, and claimed Congress neglects Americans’ struggles while prioritizing foreign aid. Earlier on Monday, Greene posted a related statement on X, saying, "Hi this is your daily reminder that insurance has become UNAFFORDABLE for most Americans. Health, Auto, and Home. I wish my party would make this a priority." ACA premium tax credits (subsidies to reduce costs of marketplace plans) are set to expire or be modified soon, and Republicans are divided on whether to extend them.
