At this point I don't think they're trying to win hearts and minds. It's performative lying for the cult, pandering to the base, and intimidating their enemies. Hopefully it backfires, they're betting it won't.

They didn't release this because they think it's exculpatory, but to feed the identity politics that make far right chuds froth at the mouth. They did it to show their supporters what their enemy looks like. It's a snuff film. This is exactly why every ICE officer is making content above all else.
