Our pupper hasn't been with us for years, but as we pack and prepare to stow dog supplies for the next one, our cat Loki has found a warm safe space to nap.

Here is a video of Loki drinking at the fountain just appreciating it. You might want to mute it. There's some crunchy sound at the end from some air hitting the mic. But then you'll miss Loki's little licking noises.

Maybe I view these projects as an excuse to buy one more tool.

I'm gonna be redoing one piece of the bathroom each week until this whole thing is done. The toilet works great. I just kept reading articles and watching YouTube videos until I felt I could handle it. No mid project trips to the store.

I got super lucky. There's an air conditioning drain in my basement just below this new sink I installed. I'm gonna have to cut out a little bit of wood to check for mold. I'm still not sure why it's leaking, this is my first fuck up like this. The other home maintenance is holding up great.

We've been cutting down trees and burning fossil fuels, releasing a lot of carbon into the atmosphere.

If we replant all the trees we still don't account for the carbon from burning fuels. Even if plant trees everywhere.

What are some other ideas for capturing carbon from the atmosphere?
I googled "picture of a tree" and this was the first thing that come up. It is a UK sycamore tree with bright green leaves in the middle of a green grassy field. There is a blue sky with some light clouds.

I think I'm going to live the no toilet life. I just ripped mine up. I think maybe I'll just get by with a hole in the floor.

Instead of going through the hassle of buying and installing another, I'll just work on my aim.

Loki was laying down in the middle of the walkway. So I decided to pet him. He punched me to let me know not to do that. It worked, I didn't pet him anymore. But I am entirely uninjured, he does not have a career in boxing.

One circumstance you can't control is which country you're born in and people born in the US just die younger and pay more for healthcare.

Most developed countries have your life expectancy rise to between 80 and 84 with their costs ranging between $3,000 and $8,000. Most undeveloped countries have life expectancies Below 76 but costs below 2000. The United States is an extreme outlier, this chart shows our cost going from 5,000 to 10,000 but our life expectancy remaining between 78 and 79 years of age. Developed countries in the moderately expensive but longest live section of the chart include italy, japan, france, canada, Germany Switzerland. Less developed countries with extremely low health care costs but much shorter longevity include china, brazil, the Russian federation, ukraine, and india. There is another minor outlier with Saudi Arabia that shows a similar horizontal line to the United States but it moves from about $1,500 to $4,000.
