Planning an inter dimension, multigenerational photoshoot on the land next week. I am excited. We are practicing our crafts. Lifting other folks up with me.. Creator is favouring my choices these days as I continue gathering gifts on the land my ancestors left for me. I am not done in the marsh yet

Not interested in cattle call competition type “awards”anymore and neither should you. It prevents these award organizations from doing the work of getting to know communities on the ground instead of letting “peers” pick and choose who is more deserving based on a CV.

If I were at the table I’d be pointing fingers at this treaty and forcing all colonizers to address this forgotten fact of the treaty after the war of 1812.

In colonial history the stories remembered were written by others. In this era the voice telling the stories that are not digitized is lost to the wind. If the ancestors are omnipresent than it is feasible they send digital messages. My job is to map a trail through the digital frontier to them

The Big Chief my granny Mary Abel said in one of her oral histories passed down from her fathers father to her, the one way down the end of the river. They found a whale bone in the Okanagan Lake in the late 1800 that was stolen.

The Big Chief my granny Mary Abel said in one of her oral histories passed down from her fathers father to her, the one way down the end of the river. They found a whale bone in the Okanagan Lake in the late 1800 that was stolen.
