I love the streets in this area. I recall that Jean Marsh (Upstairs Downstairs) lived nearby. Although Chelsea was always been upmarket, the sizes of the houses off Kings Rd indicate that many were artisans dwellings.

Wasn't the late Kanga Tryon a girlfriend of Prince Charles all those years ago?

Enough, already !!

Totally ahead of the game. Created local home Bible studies for parishioners in Kidderminster; now totally normal in the local church.

Having just dug-out two maps from c1990, as I suspected, there was no Curzon Square. It is shown as 'Curzon Place' on the A-Z super scale and the A-Z large 'floppy' soft back.

Have a good week.

I have always been intrigued that there are Lacon's signs on old Public Houses in London.

I'm just a little embarrassed to ask: has Curzon Square always been there (in our lifetime) ? The Met Police 'Knowledge of London' tests required knowledge of all squares, but this one is totally off my radar.

Something like that ...

This really is quite amazing. On Friday evening at Cutlers' Hall in London, at the St Nicholas Feast of the Parish Clerks' Co, I sat next to a former CEO of Dorothy House, whose husband is a long-standing Parish Clerk in the City of London.

What are the chances ?

Reminds me of Joe Jackson.

Good. That's real service. My regular trick is leaving the Taximeter running all night and finding that the battery is flat the next day. Happens too often ...

We watched the 1981 (?) Granada TV series of Brideshead for the first time only a few months ago. TBH, I found that as each episode unfolded, the less interested I was. I stuck it out.

I pickup Anthony Andrews in my Cab in the Spring. He was incredibly charming & courteous; but he is now v frail.

When I was kid, my late mother would sign my school sick-notes as 'R E Plumb (Mrs)', which I think signified that she was married; whereas 'Mrs R E Plumb' would mean that she was a widow ?

One of my first Livery Dinners (as a guest) years ago, had the ladies shown as Mrs John Smith (Deidre).

I tried in vain to access a link via the CoL website, but I assume that there was a cut-off date. Please email or message the link on here is that works for you. Tx.

Krupa was amazing. Sadly, so many of those Hollywood movie clips are mimed, with Krupa over emphasising the physical motion 'for visual effect'. Drummers would love to see the real thing in action, because his technique was ground breaking.

I still have mine from when I moved oner to Mac. The great thing (for me) about the MB Pro was the ability to be able to save music CDs to my hard drive and to watch DVDs on it. I now have a MB Air. The Pro lasted ten years. c£100 per year or slightly less.
