kinda-sorta? i have a lot of fond memories of the early Resident Evil games & i do like it when things get weird & existentially creepy.

but i don’t really like jump-scares or gore—at least not in anything approaching modern fidelity—so that kind of writes off a lot of the genre for me.

Maybe the problem is that enough US citizens are privileged enough to be able to treat politics like an entertaining team sport and they get really defensive about keeping that privilege.

i've had fun with rolled stats before in rare cases where you get 2-3 *really* high scores to balance out 1-2 *really* low ones, but yeah. point-buy or a standard array is the way to go.

oh gosh, it's so hard to pick!

it sits in this really fun spot of still being *vaguely* humanoid while also still having such different anatomy. i love the idea of having a trunk instead of a torso, a base instead of feet, and no head, face, or bits to speak of. gives me such lovely object feels.

a few, yeah! one of the other inflatable designs I was playing around with alongside the cactus was a donut-themed poolring. it was actually a close second at the time—another fun shape, based of a tasty treat—but i don't know if it would've wound up having the same kind of lasting appeal?
