His name is Allister, and he's normally a tux with long hair everywhere, but in the summer he gets a "lion" cut because it's humid as balls here and it helps him cool off.

Wow...coincidentally, my Mom has an orange tabby with a shorter tail that we also don't know the cause of. His name is Bob and he was rescued with his tail shorter. He can move it still as well, and it doesn't cause him pain. Funny how similar they are 😅
