definitely part of it!! they also all have pre-existing relationships with each other/an established dynamic from before we ever meet them, vs the first gen cast who tend to act like they're mostly all strangers.
its a shame the best charas in the game r locked behind a bunch of really 'meh' ones 😅

obvs im still a student and uh (gestures at the whole 'bedbound disabled' thing) so its all a bit up in the air, but my plan at least WAS to get a stable day job doing graphic design to fund my actual career in illustration.
not sure what i'll do now since idk when i can work again but.... yeah :")

anyway. i tried to just work casually + draw after that, but turns out being exploited for labour makes it hard to hone ur craft
so. back i went, this time to Uni. and now i fear I've come to actually kind of like graphic design, in a stockholm syndrome kind of way. the skills r useful at least.

never forget the look of what i can only describe as 'patient empathy' when this guy with an actual graphic design career teaching at TAFE got to watch as I mid-sentence realised I was doing the absolute wrong course for me. LOL

mega bias talking, but I also find a lotttt more depth in the second gen charas than the first gen. first gen can be very shallow w some exceptions, but the second gen are all very interesting under the surface.
(some of the second gen charas were actually created first, so it makes sense :P)

the depth is something you kinda have to.... dig for 🥲
like specific convos really flesh out certain charas, whereas others add pretty much nothing. its a big downside of being able to support everybody... ive seen wildly diff takes on some charas bc some ppl just never get to see the 'true' them 😭
