The pillars of hope and growth are being built in the places that you cannot see. So maybe it is time to go grab a hammer and some nails and help. I know what I'm doing to help and it sure as hell isn't obsessing over social media platforms and engagement.

Going to be a thousand battles, fought on a thousand fronts. That is how social movements work. You're an idiot if you think a few marches was gonna be enough. You're an idiot if you thought a few politicians were gonna hold the line. It was always going to take all of us working in tandem.

It seems to me that there are a lot of you that wanted it to be just a couple quick easy wins that you could cheer on from the comforts of your homes and you're mad that it isn't. The fact of the matter is, elections have consequences. It was always going to be damage mitigation. It was always

That Trump does... what else are you doing other than just that? When you're on here, screaming at everyone else to work harder and fight harder, are you? Because it seems to me that a lot of people have quite a bit of free time to point their fingers and say "you're not trying hard enough"

matter. It's stupid. It's one of those participation trophies that boomers and Gen x love to accuse younger generations of always wanting. And ultimately, it makes me wonder... the people who sit on this app and post 1500 times a day, wringing your fists over every little asinine thing
December 7, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Activists, not so I could sit here and watch a bunch of people with main character syndrome tell everyone else they aren't trying hard enough from the comfort of their living room, y'know?

There's over a thousand people in New York right now doing a seminar on how to protect their neighbors from ice. There are countless nonprofits who desperately need volunteers. There are local politicians who need volunteers. Go outside and do something. I joined Bluesky to connect with

Exactly. Elections have consequences. This is the consequences of voter apathy and moral decay. We are in the damage control stage. People are gonna hurt, people are gonna suffer and the question is, what are you doing to mitigate that or are you just on social media unhelpfully doom and glooming
December 6, 2025 at 9:25 PM
day to social media and pouring over every news article... I mean... The pillars of hope and growth are being built in the places you can't see... and you're live tweeting about the FIFA peace award nonsense instead of grabbing a hammer... Y'know?

I see a lot of "Do something!" and "fight harder" and "you people need to do this or that" not just from this account but a lot of big audience Bluesky accounts and I wonder how are they actually stepping up and being leaders in their community in this moment. That time spent posting 150 times a <c>

I don't want to sling mud and speculate. But it's like the election rigging thing. If the election was rigged (it wasn't), then it isnt our fault. It's someone else being evil and malicious. It's some nefarious plot instead of just acknowledging that we fucked up and we need to be better humans

A lot of people are really uninclined to discuss the matter of moral failing in regards to how it relates to the voter. It's easy to say that the politicians have morally failed. It is harder to have the conversation about how the voters have morally failed in generations of empowering them

Yoooooo, shout out to the I, Jedi mention. By far, one of my favorite Star wars books

That's not the argument you think it is. 99% of security clearance is the government knowing everything about you to make sure that you're not gonna try to assassinate them and making sure they can easily find you if you try.

And if they are using a defense contractor, it is almost certainly because working on site requires staff with security clearances, which are not something you can just go get. So you go with the construction company that already has them.

It is so unhelpful to fly into these blind panics and regurgitate social media talking points as if they are verified facts. It just makes us look stupid if/when these things don't happen. Stop taking talking heads at their word and research primary sources before repeating what you hear

They are most certainly not building a bunker. There is literally no need for one. A ballroom in the white house has been a Trump vanity project since Obama. He contacted Obama to try to build one and they said no. Then he tried in his first term but COVID happened.
October 30, 2025 at 9:12 PM
I need you to understand so badly that there are, at minimum, like 6 bunkers already there, one of which is 5 stories deep and has water and air supply. There are things to be scared about and then there is this. Hysteria is unhelpful and fear mongering just makes us look dumb.
