I’d say my HS senior year (let’s say from June 1991 to May 1992 when I graduated) was pretty solid: Metallica’s Black Album, G’n’R’s two Use Your Illusion albums, Nirvana’s Nevermind, and Pearl Jam’s Ten all released within a few weeks of each other. Definitely a transformative 12 month period.
