Like I said, I really like the A1 mini. I probably would have purchased the A1 for the extra print volume but I already had my Prusa mk4. What will you be printing with it?

Thanks. Let me know if you have any questions

Looks like my two threads are showing up out of order. Read my oldest thread first. Thanks

I'll likely get both as resin may not be extremely toxic but if you ever get too much exposure, in rare instances, you can develope a sensitivity to some of the chemicals. Note that with proper precautions, this risk should be minimal but I'm not a chemist so take my advice with a grain of salt

You can also get an air filter for resin fumes. Elgoo makes a decent one.

In my old home I dedicated a spare bathroom for this. In the apartment I just moved in to, I will likely get a resin ventilation hood from Amazon ( like this one: a.co/d/cYUNQz5 ) and vent the fumes out through the window

Make sure you're aware of how smelly resin printing can be and how to reduce contact with the potentially toxic chemicals involved.

Only things I can say are to get a printer with a tilt-up lid. Avoid lids you have lift of the printer. Annoying. Get a "wash-and-cure" station. Makes post processing so much easier. Research the post processing process and the potential mess this can be.

Regarding resin printers. I've had a couple of anycubic printers and I like them but I'm in the market for a new one so currently doing research. As such, I'm not confident I could give you valid recommendations on what's currently out there.

For example, if you want to print cosplay stuff get the A1 for the larger print Volume. If you're more budget constrained and mostly printing things like figurines get the A1 mini.

Only real difference to be concerned with is the size, and also the price. Look at them and figure out what fits your needs and budget.

There are two A1's. The A1 and the A1 mini. They're basically the same machine, just one is is bigger than the other. Both can be upgraded with a multi-material addon that allows you to print with multiple colors.
December 4, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Higher-end models just add larger print volumes and the ability to print with more exotic materials that most hobbyests never use so I would stick to the A1's.

Assuming you go for Bambulab, your next decision would be to figure out what model to get. The A1 series of printers are the most cost effective of their machines and you're not giving up print quality so check those out first.

One real difference between the two is that prusa printers can almost always be upgraded to the next model up when it becomes available. I suspect that if you're not an inveterate tinkerer, that won't be a salient factor in your choice but if you are, think on that..

I have both prusa and bambulab FDM printers. These two brands are generally considered the best on the market right now. my prusa is relatively easy to use and bullet proof. the Bambu printers are considered best for beginners. They're very reliable. They're also a bit cheaper.

Plus we've only spent about 12 days total on the surface of the moon. I've spent more time than that on vacation in a foreign country.

I know it’s late but you can also temporarily change your twitter pw to something else. Give that to the app. Then change it back once done.

If it’s any consolation I think that it’s quiet unlikely that tariffs will actually be imposed. He-who-shall-not-be-named will reneg on that promise as soon as he gets pushback from congress.
