Change the language you use when talking about people who use AI

They did not make AI art or an AI video, they requested AI generate something

Divorce the attribution of creation from the prompter, because they didn't create anything

Reached credits in Legends Arceus.

It's weird how credits don't feel much like an ending here. Granted, it really isn't an ending. There's clearly a lot of post-game, it's just... Weird.

Some friends and I did this a while ago, and it's honestly one of the best decisions we've ever made.

I figured out how to vastly improve visuals in Pokémon Legends: Arceus...

Just put it on a CRT.
A photo of Pokémon Legends: Arceus being played on a Cathode Ray Tube television. The screenshot is during daytime in the games Obsidian Fieldlands area.

Been playing more Arceus for most of today. This game's loop is so fucking good!

That being said, I can imagine trying to perfect every Pokémon's dex page becomes a grindy hell, but thankfully that seems to only needed for shiny hunting.

Also I just think this line is funny
A screenshot of Rei, from Pokémon Legends: Arceus, saying "Pokémon are terrifying, right? Why should this thing be able to fire electricity?"

I've spent all day finally playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and this game's got the good game juice all over it.

The visuals may be a battle between good art direction and poor optimisation, but that doesn't stop it from working the soundscape to create some incredible atmosphere.

Next video's just under 2 hours long lmao. One of these days I'll try making more short-form stuff, but I just can't help that I have a lot to say about stupid bullshit.

I still have some major issues with them, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up enjoying my time by the end.

I did not expect to put 110 hours into this game, but so far I'm glad I did.

Despite Dynamax and Gigantamax being a shit battle gimmick that feels like they already ran out of ideas, the one thing they do work well with is raids, which work so well in the post-game Dex completion loop.

The DLC then adds a real post-game, and two new wild areas that are actually good.

Okay, for now I'm finished with Pokémon Sword, aside from some legendaries and some DLC Pokédex mons.

Without the DLC i'd say it's fine (derogatory). The plot structure feels rushed, many elements feel missing, and the route/wild area design is bland as all hell.

But...

You can go there, but the slog of a main game will still be waiting for you, and you're still gatekept from catching every Pokémon you'd want until you have every gym badge.

Going back and playing Pokémon Sword, instead of just watching a friend play it, has convinced me that I was too harsh on it.

It's so good when it leans into its strengths, and the DLC is entirely on its strengths. But you can't really do the good stuff until late/post-game, which holds it back sm.

If you're curious about the Virtual Boy after that Nintendo Direct, I did a section it during my failed consoles video. It's a weird, but important, part of Nintendo's history, and I'm glad it's not just being swept under the rug.

Top-tier Kalos Pokemon finally getting some respect put on their name.

Memes aside, I always defended Malamar and used it in my first X playthrough way back in 2013. Peak design. Peak gimmick with the upside-down/contrary stuff.

It's just peak.

A Nintendo Direct without thousands of people screaming about Silksong in chat just won't be the same.
