Blue Bird at Quiet Noon
The day stands open,
sunlight resting its hand
on the shoulder of leaves.
A blue bird arrives
without announcement,
as if silence invited it.
No wind. No wanting.
Only the slow green thought of growing,
and one small heart
keeping time
by staying.
