Didn't they also have the whole Manson fetishism thing going on? Which was en vogue in general among edgelords at the time, but definitely tied into the same race war fantasies. (Hell, Manson was tight with James Mason for decades they fell out over Charlie sending his gun money to Save the Whales.)

Here's a deep cut, and a new one to me: Throughout Episode Three of Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Miki Itou gives a certain character she portrays a particularly uncomfortable, keening, trilling laugh. At the very end, she brings it back in a very different context, and it is… harrowing. Good stuff!
