especially when you really, really need a job too
November 21, 2025 at 12:11 PM
good point!

seem's like you'd need to be blessed to get an interview/foot-in-the-door AND hope that they know what they want (the job) + can competently vet out their candidates too.

unless we're in a hiring-boom of some sort, getting a job in tech can be pretty rough IMO; doesn't help that layoffs from everywhere has created an abundance of devs - ie you're no longer competing with 10 devs, but hundreds/thousands(?) for a particular role (#s here are made-up for this example)

my mind went to the movie "Cars", specifically Tow Mater

granted - i also haven't gone the extension route to nuke them either.

must be a skill issue on my part or that doc is 'too dated' - or even possibly a US thing(?); i still couldnt get it disabled 🥴. i even explicitly have ALL their experiments disabled and still get the AI overviews (screenshot below)
October 29, 2025 at 7:52 PM
the worst part is I've tried over and over and can't stop Google's AI Overviews 🥺 - if there's a way to permanently disable it its gone over my head.

the parallels of yesteryears frontend-framework hopping to modern, LLM tool-hopping is spot-on

"invisible wins" are always a plus in my book 😅.
p.s. "invisible wins" is now a part of my vocabulary
October 27, 2025 at 11:28 AM
big endorsement coming from you 🫡 👏
October 25, 2025 at 2:08 PM
came to ask the same thing.

i do have the option to dual-boot on my Ubuntu PC (for gaming) but the flexibility to use Linux on any machine - even old laptops thrown around - is *chefs kiss*🤌
October 24, 2025 at 5:07 PM
another fitting meme IMO.
October 24, 2025 at 3:03 PM
today i learned about 'pastiche' 😅.

as time progresses, i wonder if everything created going forward could be considered a pastiche of some sort 🧐
October 21, 2025 at 11:24 AM
did you ever get this resolved or was it solar flares? 🧐

Redwood SDK is super nice, and Waku has a Next-like experience as well.

I use Next.js personally but its nice to see other options for RSC's and nice React stuff overall.
October 20, 2025 at 4:23 PM
interesting - i can see that being BOTH a pro and a con 😅.

you don't have to waste time theory crafting if x, y, or z would work BUT you may lose that 'beginners mind', ie risk not doing creative exploration.
October 20, 2025 at 4:17 PM
the iterations will naturally go away over time with age 🥺; if anything, enjoy the time you're still waking them up that way
