Looking for sanity in an insane world.
I was an early teenager not allowed to see the R rated version and saw the PG rated one in the theaters with all my friends. It was definitely aimed at 13 year olds who loved the music and wanted to see the film. We didn't care if it was awful.

At 6-0, I checked the Phillies score, saw that they lost and thought picking up a game was in the bag. It was the type of hubris you would think I would not succumb to as a lifelong Mets fan.

I love their To Be Or Not To Be! It’s likely sacrilege but I enjoy it more than Lubitsch’s original.

Fortunate Son. Is there a movie set in the 60s that doesn’t use it?

I paid homage to my tween age hero Judy Blume at her rest stop.

I called his Peekskill office and was able to record my disapproval there — not that it will make any difference it seems.

My Jesuit alma mater's loss was definitely Georgetown's gain. Glad Dean Treanor is standing up for what is just and right.

If you see this, post a fictional artist/band you would love to see live

It also doesn’t take into account the alternatives for a family going to see a show or concert. Round trip train fare without a monthly pass is $20 each way per person. The $9 doesn’t change my decision on car or train.

My 13 year old self had both of them on vinyl prior to buying any of the others. I did feign being sick from school to tape the White Albulm of WNEW one day.

I’m fairly fluent in indie rock from the 80s forward and the first time I heard them was this past week on an episode of The Man on the Inside. Loved the song and added it to my playlist. Sorry to read this great tribute

A Real Pain - Funny, painful and just really lovely. So well acted and impactful.

This will be a gif that will keep on giving. Pep really is disgusted, isn't he?

I had read that the song was actually about David Steinberg, noted comedian and guest star in one of my favorite episodes of The Odd Couple.

Not too far back, history wise, but The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.

Murder on the Orient Express — Lumet’s version. Don’t know how I never saw this as I love Christie and saw the Suchet and Branagh versions. This was my preferred version, more glamorous. Loved it.

Darkest Hour - mmm…Gary Oldman was fantastic but the entire Churchill in the tube scene and its impact on his decision making really put me off.
